Incorporating Universal Design for Learning Concepts

The Institute on Disability and Public Policy not only invests in making the Master's in Comparative and International Disability Policy curriculum innovative, robust, and accessible, but also in utilizing and customizing our technologies to abide by Universal Design for Learning concepts.

Principle I: Provide Multiple Means of Representation
  • Our cyberinfrastructure allows instructors to incorporate various multimedia into their courses (i.e. audio and/or video)

Principle II: Provide Multiple Means of Expression
  • Our cyberinfrastructure is accessible and usable to persons with disabilities

  • Our cyberinfrastructure and course content abides by WCAG 2.0 standards

Principle III: Provide Multiple Means of Engagement
  • Our cyberinfrastructure enables faculty to implement a flexible curriculum incorporating different types of assignments, as well as individualized instruction
